What We’re All About
With all of the design blogs, websites, and influencers out there telling you about (or selling you on) everything under the sun, creating a home that you love can be scary, expensive, and downright confusing. But it doesn’t have to be. My goal is to drown out some of the noise and help you find the things that will bring comfort and peace to your environment. Whether you rent an 800 square foot studio apartment or you’re building a 3500 square foot custom home, my hope is that I can help you make it into something that you are proud of, and most of all, comforted by.
I believe that HOME is the most important place on earth. It should be a place of rest and a refuge from all that everyday life throws our way. Home is where we get to just be. Be ourselves, be quiet, be loud, be silly. It should be the place that we can’t wait to get back to at the end of the day. It’s where our people and/or pets are. It’s the place that we can make into an extension of who we are and a showcase for the things that we love.

Who We Are
We are Eric & Michelle- (almost) empty nesters, parents to two boys, and two chihuahuas, Griffin and Mimi.
In December of 2020, Eric, Ethan and I all got very sick with covid at the exact same time. The house that we were in at that time had all upstairs bedrooms. Having to go up and down stairs while we were so sick became a huge eye-opener for us. We decided to sell the house (thankfully at the height of the real estate market) and move into a ground-level apartment in a brand new complex.
In 2021 we bought a piece of land to build our forever/dream home on. We poured through house plans but none of them were quite right. So, we sat down with pieces of graph paper and sketched out exactly what we wanted, room by room. The home’s style is Modern European and will be a little over 3600 square feet, all on one level. Our goal is to make sure that this home serves us (and possibly our parents or other family members) now and well into the future.
We will chronicle the build on the blog in the hopes that we can provide valuable information and insight into the process of building a custom home.
